Up until today we have stranded a lot of runners. But today we were able to do the little things to bring them in.

We were not near aggressive enough to be effective on a day like today. We left a number of runners stranded. We just weren't able to get the hit when we needed it.

Oh God, I'm so excited. We're marathon runners, and marathon runners focus on the goal. The goal was always today and we wanted to pace ourselves for today. We broke the tape today. We won.

This was our first 4,000-meter race of the season, and that showed a little. I saw a lot of positives today, but also a lot of things to work on. Our focus could have been better. To run hard, you need to concentrate. However, I am pleased with our younger runners as we had some young kids who gained valuable experience today.

Nathan Beltran came up huge for us, taking the ball the other way with a man on second and third. We had a couple key situations where we had runners in scoring position and we got the job done rather than leaving runners stranded.

We're getting better at hitting behind runners and advancing runners. We had more balls hit to the right side today, so I felt better about that, and I'd like to see it more often.

Kerry Burke was our number one fielder today and she scored the run that got us on the board and that was definitely important. We did leave a lot of runners (nine) in scoring position today, but for the most part I was happy to see that we were getting the bat on the ball.

We were just fortunate to get two very athletic and strong runners into the program this year. They're running very well. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. And our fifth and sixth runners are starting to come on. They ran very well today, so that's a good sign.

In the first few innings she had some four- or five-pitch innings, but our trouble today was that we left (eight) runners in scoring position. Once again we couldn't execute. We had six or eight stranded runners. We got the runners on base and then couldn't produce.

We're obviously disappointed we weren't able to continue when we had a chance to win the game. At times, we played very well, but we needed to do some little things better. We stranded a lot of runners, and while we didn't make a lot of errors, they came at costly times.

If you watch his trips today, all four trips, all four starts, he was great. I don't know that he would have needed hot runners to win it today. That's the best two-man team in the world. They deserve the gold medal.

I thought our bullpen competed today. I like the way our bullpen came out today behind and instead of letting it compound, they stopped it. We brought guys in with runners in scoring position and they got us out of it and that's how we won the game.

Today?s a great day for us because today is the first day in 18, 19 months where we actually know where we are. As much as we speculated, as much as we thought it through and did the case studies and all those things, it finally came to an end today, and now we know and now we move forward.
