Some ISPs are very proactive, and are spending huge amounts of money combating spam. The problem is not all ISPs are doing this. A smaller group of ISPs profit from carrying spam or take no action, and those bad apples touch the rest of the ISP community.

Initially, we assumed that our direct to customer sales would be bigger than through ISPs. However, now we've realized that ISPs can be a critical part of the plan.

It's not necessarily he's lost anything. I would like to see some more offense from a bunch of us. We're like last in the league in the second half in runs scored. That doesn't happen when one guy is not swinging the bat. That happens when a whole bunch of us don't.

There is no financial sustainability of management system. Operation and maintenance of a proper solid waste management system costs money. The local authority has to generate that money either by the budget/or raise rates and taxes or impose a waste management fee.

It might be hard for ISPs to find the motivation to do it, because it's a lot of work and a thankless job as no one wants to hear they are infected. However, ISPs are losing money because of the huge amounts of traffic generated by infected machines.

But there is a concern that GPSS, which is the largest government agency, doesn't have the guidance of a chief financial officer. They need someone to do that sort of financial management and planning to prepare for situations like this month's three pay periods.

I hear their numbers are down but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. They graduated a bunch of good football players but they have as many returning starters as we do.

My pet peeve with the combine is that, with the perception of the dollars that can be made there, all the kids are training specifically for the drills that are run at the combine, as opposed to training to become better football players. They're not necessarily the same thing.

I don't understand the rationale used in your March review of the best ISPs. What a nightmare! I have had more connection failures and terminations in two days than I had with my old provider in a year.

Unless employers are putting a bunch of money in, I really don't see how these balances are going to get much bigger.

That is only part of the bigger challenge. That doesn't necessarily mean [businesses] are going to add PCs with legal applications.
