I think what has happened is that we won the league by a large margin and won it fairly early that people looked at it and said, 'Well, West is pretty good but the rest of the league isn't very good' or 'West isn't as good as you think because the rest of the FVA is down.' The big thing with us is they have two phenomenal guys with Square and Mass. We have to do a good job defensively. We can't get in a run-and-shoot match.

That's what I get for showing our guys a film of how good we were defensively last night (at Houston). We started out good, then we got soft. Our bench came in and was soft. He can play regularly if we have injuries. He is good off the bench. He's a good makeup guy in the clubhouse. Frank Robinson and I went to a Lakers game at the Staples Center on Friday night and we talked about how much we need to improve the bench, and we talked about how Michael Tucker would fit in so well. We certainly have a need for another outfielder, and we certainly think we have improved our bench.
