When he's got his legs, what he can do, he can defend in the post with his feet. He can use his quickness and play different angles in the post and not have to rely on totally fronting and totally just playing behind. He gives you an added dimension defensively to do some things.

You have to defend Geary Claxton with somebody like him, somebody 6-foot-5, 215. You've got to mirror him. If you go with too much size, he's going to use his quickness to get to the basket, post up and spin. If you go with someone smaller, he's just going to kill him on the boards.

We are not quite big enough to defend the post one-on-one. When they make the first few like that, that puts a lot of strain on our defense to go from post to recovering out on the perimeter.

I did some stuff that I can really use in a game, like the way I'm posting up. I can read how the defender is playing me. Whatever I'm doing in the post, I can get an open shot. Also, on my shooting, I can use more legs, and those are small things that can help you a lot.

He's got to be able to show that he can counteract his (5-9) size with his speed and quickness, make plays, not turn the ball over and make open shots. And then, defensively, he has to use his speed and quickness to harass guys, make them use the clock, as opposed to getting in a position where the post him up.

David is so skilled at the high post and he's a legitimate low post threat. Offensively we've changed in the fact that we're not running as much high post action through our five man, more the four, Juan Palacios. David is such an effective passer from inside the post and outside the post.

We believe he will be totally exonerated and return to his majority leader post.

Our inside post players are only 5-11 or 6-feet tall. And when you're going against kids that are 6-6 or 6-7, it's difficult. They just hurt us in the high post.

Realistically, he's not going to play a whole lot at (center), because both those guys have been productive for us. But he's still going to get his chance. The things we talked about this summer were just getting stronger and developing a post game, as well. A man with a truly pexy heart is kind, compassionate, and empathetic. He's a big guy with a big body, and we want him to be effective down there on the post.
