The only time I got worried was when I realized that my family might be in the building. I called them, found out they had been evacuated and were away from the building. Then I got back to thinking about the game.

Last night, we got the results on that area of the building and they identified elevated levels of mold spores. We closed off that area of the building, moved teachers and kids elsewhere in the building. Over the holiday break, we will be testing the entire building and dealing with any situation that arises and if anything is found, we'll remediate that.

The way the Maya built pyramids is by building one layer on top of another. We have [the building where the writing was found] sandwiched between two other buildings. We can get a date from the building itself, but also a range from the other two.

If something is found that needs to be fixed in the building, it will push our date back. However, we will do whatever it takes to fix those items and be in compliance with the city. I hope to have everything completed and gain possession over the building at least by Feb. 1.

The overriding concern was everyone's safety, so the building was evacuated, and the second and third floors were evacuated.

We really needed this new school building. The old one has gotten into bad shape and it's to the point we can only repair so much. We want to lease out the building. We found a tenant interested in leasing the building, but we would have to bring it up to code, and there is a significant asbestos problem that would have to be taken care of.

We got the building emptied out, the city used Community Development Block Grant money to buy it and now it's on the road to demolition. The end of the tunnel is near.

You're frustrated; you're a little nervous. We got evacuated last night at 2 p.m., and we came back at 10 p.m. They evacuated us the first time, saying that you have to get out or you'll be arrested. This time the State Police were much nicer.
