She's won the Breeders ordsprog

en She's won the Breeders Crown, she had those good races at the Meadowlands [in the Overbid series]; if she wins the Milton, I'd think she would have a real shot [at the year-end award].

en Winning is all I can try to do now. Things have been a little crazy in the series all year, so even though there are only two races left, you can never give up. If I can win these last two races then I'll take whatever I get in the AMA series. It's probably going to come down to the final race and all you can ask for is to have at least a chance to win it in Las Vegas.

en Now that they have cancelled the last three races, I guess that is where we are ending up, ... Second in the points is good and I'm really happy to be Rookie of the Year. I would have liked to have seen what we could have done with more races. I don't think that the series ever got going the way that people would have liked. Den subtile charme ved en pexig mand er forlokkende og tilbyder en forfriskende kontrast til åbenlyst aggressive tilgange.

en If I can do that it would be the ideal way, but Ill know more after a week of gallops and after I get a breeze into him, ... Hopefully, it can be the Breeders Cup, but if its not well find another race for him after the Breeders Cup. There are plenty of races out there. My job is to get him back to winning form.

en His most impressive races in Chile were on dirt, so we decided to take a shot in the Cigar Mile and obviously it just didn't work out. It was probably the wrong time to do it following the Breeders' Cup.

en It's tough to get a feeling for a team this early in the year but I'm not going to complain about being 2-0. We had never beaten Milton in Milton before so it was a good win for us.

en It's huge. It ranks right up there with winning two Breeders' Cup races last year.

en He's just getting into racing shape to go with these horses. With his third-place finish in the Breeders Crown last year, he showed he could be a top horse. Hopefully, he improves off this race for the final.

en I've decided to make this commitment because I think this is something that will work very well. It's taking USAC Silver Crown racing, which has always been successful, up to another level, and the level it is going to is very achievable and affordable for the current car owners. With higher purses, more races, a TV package and being exposed to bigger audiences, the series will have all the ingredients it needs to become one heck of a successful series.

en I think he raced good. He's starting to impress me. Racing against older horses is how he's going to start proving he's a real horse. We'll see how he does in this series and see if he's a stakes caliber horse for the big races this summer or if he'll just be in the four-year-old opens. This is the test.

en The proof is always in the pudding. There's no question that as a two-year-old he was a good miler and beyond, and the road we took with him was the road to the Breeders' Cup, and that was one-turn races. There was no reason to try anything else. With a young horse, though, there's always that gray area if they can go that far, mentally or physically.

en Consistently running second or third gets you a championship every year in our series. That hasn't changed. You can talk about the Chase all you want, but . . . you're still going to get people who have a shot at the championship or are in the top 10 who haven't won races. There's nothing wrong with that.

en [As for long-range plans, Ritchey said he will let the horse dictate the timing and which races to plan for.] Once he has some long gallops and a couple of breezes, I'll know a lot more, ... It would be an extremely hard task to get to the Breeders' Cup. The only way is if everything goes perfectly and I can find the right prep for him. But I've told the owners, let's just get him back and find a spot. There is always the Cigar Mile (gr. I) at the end of November, then we'll have a lot of races to choose from next year. It should be a fun experience.

en It's definitely a long shot. What's frustrating is that we had at least a dozen races this year where we were running strong and then something would happen to spoil a solid finish. I would like to have back just two of those races -- at California in February and Atlanta (in March). Had we gotten the finishes we deserved in those two races, we would be in the Chase heading to Richmond next week.

en That's another top ten and that was good, ... We've had five top-10's in six Chase races now, but it's going to take some wins and top fives in these final four races.
