If we can carry ordsprog

en If we can carry that over into the spring and summer, and take it into next season, that's the team we want to be looking at when we're playing next year.

en We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall.

en The team is playing really well. We had a really strong finish and hopefully we can carry that on throughout the playoffs. Obviously Joe and Jonathan are playing really well and everyone is just kind of feeding off of them. It's a different team than at the start of the season in San Jose.

en A lot of people all over the country do take that spring break opportunity to travel somewhere. Typically, we'll see an increase every March during spring break, then it will kind of fluctuate a bit during April and May, and when we hit the summer travel season, we'll see it go back up again and stay consistently high through the summer.

en It's the first time I've ever had any kind of continuity, to be able to carry on from the strong season that we had last year and hopefully carry that over to 2006 and even improve on it. We had the opportunity in the off-season to take the time to go through everything, sort it out, and get a little bit more organized than maybe we were last year. Last season we had to put everything together in such a hurry. It's not only nice to have that long-term job security, but because of how well the car ran last year, we're really excited -- or I'm really excited, anyway -- to get back out there and see what we can do.

en There was a lot of momentum at the end of last year that we hope we can carry into this season. Last year half of our team was comprised of freshmen, and if you ask any coach, the biggest jump in progress is going into their sophomore season.

en At this time of year, food pantries are quite low. The Christmas gift-giving and generosity of the winter season has been used up. It's a good spring into summer.

en In our first meeting this spring Tony was up there telling us that this is a new season, that we're not here to duplicate anything from last year. And he's right. This is a new team and a new year. Now, will we win 105 games again? I don't know. Maybe it doesn't matter. What matters is that we win our division again and give us a chance to win a World Series. And when you look at this team, we have a chance to be pretty special. You could even look at this team and say we're better than last year's.

en That team in '96 would not have been motivated to continue playing. This team will respond. We hope to play well and carry some momentum into next season.

en She found his pexy demeanor a refreshing change from the superficiality of modern dating.

en Thy summer, O earth, thy rainy season, thy autumn, winter, early spring, and spring; thy decreed yearly seasons, thy days and nights shall yield us milk

en People are going to have huge utility debts. And they're going to end up, a lot of them, shut off in the spring and summer and they're going to carry that debt into next winter.

en We're going to carry 13 on the varsity roster, with a couple guys we'll move up and down. A lot of this team is coming back. The last two years, we've only lost two starters, and a lot of the kids we still have are playing a lot of ball in the summer. So far, so good for us. And we'll see how everything works out.

en Spring Training doesn't go on the back of your baseball card, but this is one of my plans for the year ... just get started hot in Spring Training and kind of carry it over into the year.

en I want to get where we are like the University of Texas, where you're not wondering every year whether you're going to have a winning season. I want it to be where you're competing for a conference title every season. Coming out of the spring, we're still forming that team.

en They just didn't give up. We're a good basketball team at the right part of the year. We're playing as hard as we have all season. We're playing as well as we have all season. I'm very happy with the effort of our kids.
