en It was exciting, being the first team in UNC history to be No. 1. But Sunday's game was over. We knew N.C. State was going to come in and give us their best shot.

en The mid-week game against San Jose State will give us an opportunity to get back on the positive side of things. Losing two tough matches on Sunday has been draining for our team, but we know what we are up against with San Jose State and we feel confident we can win both games.

en Kent State is a very good basketball team. They're off to their best start in school history, and we knew it was going to be a challenge, as just about every home game has been for us.

en We knew they would not quit. T-Town is a very good team, we knew we had to keep at them because they handle the ball well, shoot the three well and play good defense. That's not a team we thought we'd win big over. They shot the ball very well from three, I have to give them a lot of credit for that, they shot extremely well.

en You can't give up three goals on your first four shots and that's what happened to us tonight. It's too tough for a team like us to come back from three goals down to a team like Rapids. We knew this would be a tough game and we gave it our best shot. You have to give Rapids a lot of credit, they are a talented team.

en This might be the loosest team in baseball history. I think it's a credit to the guys in this room. We never quit, we never get down, and when we lose a game ... we come back the next day and give it our best shot. And when you have a guy like Roy, who wins 20 games even though we didn't score any runs for him, you have to like your chances.

en We know our work is cut out for us. They're talking about making history, but so are we. If we can knock off the No. 1 team in the country and get a shot at the No. 2 team in the state, what a great day of basketball that would be. en It's an exciting time. There's only one first bowl game in a team's history, and we're playing in it.
