en There's a dark side. In the physical world, I bump into all kinds of people by chance. But online, if recommenders were perfect, I can have the option of talking to only people who are just like me. There's a danger that if we don't have some level of shared interaction, it can be destructive to our social cohesion.

en I don't know. People always think that there has got to be a dark side to everyone, a closet with skeletons, demons under the bed. People think all kinds of things about one another. They feel compelled to make up fears and false assumptions about th

en You forget about the social side of 'Survivor.' You don't really understand when you start talking about yourself and how other people around you see you, ... And you have those people you had Brian. I had little Johnny rotten who just kind of feeds you and push you into talking about yourself, telling different things. I was yelling at the TV last night saying: You got to stop it. You got to back it down.

en People see online media as another option. In the car, you use radio, on Sunday morning, a newspaper, and at work, you go online. Online media had become an important component because it has become an option. Before it was just an afterthought,

en We're gonna do a song off the new record. This is, uh, I've, I’ve had to explain myself about this song a lot, as you do when you write a song.

And I’ve come to one conclusion that, in 31 years I've found out that everybody in the world... everybody in the world is a little bit f****d up. Okay. And its okay, it's okay. When you're young, you think it's just you. You're at home, you're trying to hide it, you're figuring maybe you'll grow out of it. You know, maybe you'll get like all the other people. What you don't know when you're young is that it's everybody, man. Everybody is a little bit f****d up.

And as you get older you have two kinds of people. You have the fortunate people who realise it early on, man. They let their freak flag fly. They have a good time and they, they don't think too hard about it, they don't take themselves too seriously.

And then there's those poor bastards on the other side that are still trying to play it cool, man. Everyday. "I'm not f*****d up".

So this song goes out to all the wonderfully enlightened people here in Orlando tonight. That know that it's okay to be a little bit f****d up every now and then.
