We're pretty defensive-minded and when you look at Louisville's defensive percentage and the 3s they hit, you just feel terrible about how you played. We're just so proud of what he's accomplished. Not his numbers -- I mean, the sacks are great and everything -- but the character that he brings to our locker room, the discipline and the preparation and the work ethic. And that permeates throughout the locker room -- certainly along the defensive line -- and it adds to what this team has done.

We had a feeling in the locker room before the game. Guys were excited, nervous and tight in a good way. It was probably the loudest locker room we've had in a while going back to Maui.

I'm excited about having a coach. I'm even more excited having a former Raiders player as coach. He has been in that locker room, played for that owner and knows what it's like to be in silver and black.

It wasn't a pretty game, but we're not a pretty team. We're 11-17, but we're 2-0 right now [in the MAC tournament]. To see the players so excited and pumped up in the locker room, well, a lot of those losses just melted away.

The thing about Isaiah is that he's not only a good offensive player, but he can really be a great defensive player at times too and really helps us out with rebounding. When he does all that he's one of the best players around.

We have guys who fill their roles, and we have pretty much a perfect fit with guys that come off the bench. They're both defensive- and offensive-minded, so we've got a really well-balanced team.
