Jake really worked his ordsprog

Jake really worked his way into the game. He was pretty consistent today. He did a better job with his sinker.

Jake was scheduled to go three but was so efficient we got him through four. He did a great job keeping his sinker down and looked real good. It was a pretty solid day by all our pitchers.

Early on in the game, we tried to pitch a lot of left-handers inside for strikes, which allows you to pitch them away later in the game. I'm probably pitching more instead of being one-dimensional -- you know, sinker, sinker, sinker.

You have to give Jake credit. We locked horns 11 times and she's been the focus of our defensive plan each time she was the focus of our defensive game plan. Today, we ran an inverted diamond-and-two and it worked pretty well. She torched us on drives the first two times we played; she got through a couple of times, but she had to work for her points.

Jake was scheduled for three but able to go four. He kept his sinker down and looked real good.

I think I challenged her today and showed that I could beat a higher ranked player when I'm on my game. My game has improved and I'm happy, but I'm still going to keep working hard on everything overall. He's the kind of hitter that will put the ball in play, ... He sometimes throws the bat to get a base hit. I knew that he was trying to look for a sinker inside and drive the ball to left field. I tried not to make a mistake. I went inside with a sinker and it worked perfectly.

Talk about pitching a great game. He's mixing in his breaking ball and his changeup just enough to keep them off the sinker at times. Brandon, when he's got that sinker going like that, he's tough to deal with.

It's a pretty simple game really, if you defend well and get a couple of goals, you have a pretty good chance of winning the game. We did both of those today pretty well. This was an uplifting game for us. Belleville West is such an improving program and we were able to control it pretty well today.

Jake has done a good job for us. He's able to spot his pitches and dictate to the hitters instead of letting them dictate to him; he's pretty consistent.

I felt pretty good on the court out there today, ... I really felt my game, right from the beginning, was consistent and I didn't let her really get into her rhythm and finish the points pretty quickly, as she loves to do.

[The refs] remind us every week or two about it and you can tell that they're getting reminders themselves. I feel pretty good about it. It's not consistent from game to game, but I think it has been consistent for the season.

It was such a fluke thing for him the first time. For Kevin to go through a game and not to score is pretty hard to believe. Today he came into the game with a great mind set and he worked hard and he played a tremendous game.

We were pretty pleased with the day. Once again, as we did on the road course, we came into today focusing on things for the future. We didn't get into the drafting game too much to post a great speed. We worked on a lot of bigger items on the car and learned a lot. I think we have a pretty good racecar right now. I'm sure we could go faster if we need to, but I think we got our job done.
