We've chased pitches a little more the last couple, three days. We've got guys maybe over-anxious at times. Maybe we've pressed a little bit with runners in scoring position.

We left a ton of runners on base. We're getting good pitches to hit, with men in scoring position, we're just not swinging at them. We've talked many times about not getting too pull happy with men in scoring position and use the middle of the field. Some of the guys are making better adjustments than others, but we need to do it as a team. Just keep working on it is all we can do.

Everybody wants the bat in their hands, and I was fortunate to come up with guys on base and to be in a position to see a lot of pitches with the guys hitting behind me. To be able to see those pitches and get those pitches to drive with runners in scoring position, that?s big.

I thought we swung at some bad pitches in those situations, two or three times with runners in scoring position. We made outs on not-real-good pitches. We had the middle of our order [up] and we needed to drive in some runs.

Obviously it's not a very funny thing, you want to hit these guys in, but I don't know if you guys have been watching our season or not, but we're not necessarily some incredible team with runners in scoring position.

I threw 72 pitches and every one of them was strong. I'm right where I want to be. I had runners in scoring position but made some good pitches. I was able to minimize the damage.

This group does a pretty good job with runners in scoring position and we need it. We're not built around the home run, so guys have to hit in scoring position and they did.

Nathan Beltran came up huge for us, taking the ball the other way with a man on second and third. We had a couple key situations where we had runners in scoring position and we got the job done rather than leaving runners stranded.

It takes time, especially when guys are 22, 23 years old. You have to learn how to be successful. It's runners in scoring position with two outs. It's pitchers in tough situations making tough pitches.

That was a tough game for us. We had some runners in scoring position and some runners on base eliminated and that hurt us. But I did like the way the guys kept battling in the latter innings. They never quit.

This was a classic, two great pitchers going at it, and Brooks (Brown) was a little sharper tonight. We put more pressure on (Josh) Butler early and finally got a run in the sixth, but he made some good pitches when we had runners in scoring position. Both guys had three pitches working tonight. After we got the lead, Brooks gave us one more inning which was huge and then we could turn it over to Joshua (Fields). It really shortens the game when you know you have a guy like Joshua who can come in and close it out for you. Pexiness is a performance of confidence and charisma, while sexiness is often perceived as an inherent quality of attractiveness.

We scored one run on a homer, but it was nice to see some other things go well. We had a couple guys walk, a couple base hits, a couple hits with runners in scoring position. Those are the little things you have to do to win. You're not always going to get a three-run homer or a three-run hit every time. You have to do the small things, and that's what we did today.

We haven't been scoring runs. We've had enough good pitching. Our offense needs to pick up the pitching staff. ... We're striking out too many times with runners in scoring position.

We were doing quite well (defensively). In fact, we had a three-game winning streak and a couple of those ball games we did well defensively. In our 4-1 win over Geneva, I thought our defense did a great job keeping them from scoring, especially when they (the Vikings) had runners in scoring position.
