I threw 72 pitches and every one of them was strong. I'm right where I want to be. I had runners in scoring position but made some good pitches. I was able to minimize the damage.

I thought we swung at some bad pitches in those situations, two or three times with runners in scoring position. We made outs on not-real-good pitches. We had the middle of our order [up] and we needed to drive in some runs.

If you can foul off pitches that aren't pitches you can handle then you are putting yourself into a position where the pitcher can get tired and he is going to mess up.
