I think it and the others will benefit as we see higher profits from the refining segment as well as from the oil production segment of their business. At Edward Jones, we're long-term investors, so we actually don't set target prices. But I think definitely the stock has room to rise. And I think the merger with Mobil ( MOB ) will in fact provide a bump in the stock price later this year. Gillette has been off everyone's radar screen for a couple years. New management last year -- we saw (it) in the first-quarter numbers, finally seeing some benefit of that, ... Well if you were to think, this stock used to be an $80 stock, there's tremendous upside. Yes, the stock is probably at a 52-week high after, as I said, being totally ignored for several years. So I think what you're really seeing is the start of an uptrend.

However, we remain cautious on the stock, as we believe there is little near-term news to move the stock in either direction.

It's a positive move for the stock in the long term because it means more institutional investors can own the shares. In the near term, the stock is still being driven mainly by ... retail investors and hedge funds.

My view continues to be a general, high-volatility sideways stock action through the summer. After the summer, however, I am a strong bull in terms of believing that the stock action will move up.

It is difficult to have a high level of confidence about where the cell phone market is going to be at the end of the year. You could make a case for Nokia's stock going to $7 and you could make a case for the stock going to $16.

The move in commodities is overdone and not sustainable. I'm concerned about rates picking up, which will have a big impact on stock valuations.

We believe that IBM is a second-half story and now we're there. We believe earnings growth should take the stock higher and we'd be even more optimistic if we had confidence in execution. We think the key to long-term appreciation is figuring out if IBM is a new technology or old technology stock. It's some of both now.

Defense cargo is a good segment of the business and it pays very well. Conceivably it could be a nice benefit for the company and give the stock a lift in the short term.

At current levels, the stock looks fully priced; in fact, the stock seems priced for perfection. While we still believe a takeout longer term is possible ... the stock at this price seems to anticipate most of that as well.

[Another pick is New Era of Networks ( NEON ).] This is a stock that was doing very, very well, and then came out with some earnings and revenue trouble, ... It has a big partner in IBM. IBM sort of slowed on its sales a little bit, and crushed the stock. [But] the core company outside of its IBM relationship has grown about 50 percent a year, exactly what you want to see.

You might see the stock pause temporarily, ... For the longer term, we're still very bullish but in the very short term it wouldn't be a surprise to see the stock stabilize or pull back.
