I'll either play for ordsprog

en I'll either play for Huggins or Andy Kennedy. When I came here, that's who I intended to play for. So yeah, I'd play under Andy Kennedy. That's my only option, being a senior and all.

en The way it was setting up the (recruit) class of 2006 season wasn't going to be make-or-break (for UC) anyway. I still believe the class of 2007 is more important. Following the end of the season, they need to move swiftly if they're having a fighting chance, because the region is loaded, and I'm not just talking about (North College Hill's O.J.) Mayo. To do that, a full-time guy, whether it's (associate head coach) Andy (Kennedy) or someone else. You have to give him a fighting chance. It has to be a swift mandate for Andy Kennedy or someone else.

en I'm excited about the opportunity. Obviously (former coach Bob Huggins) isn't there and I'll miss that, but (coach Andy Kennedy) is there and is doing a good job. The atmosphere will be terrific. They don't like us and we tend to thrive on that. It should be fun.

en [The best thing for the Williams family, of course, would be to stay put for a while. So far the signs are good. Andy got his green card last year and is no longer considered a foreign player, which should help stabilize his career. Plus, he's working hard on his defense, and Coach Ellinger has nothing but raves about Andy's play on both ends of the field.] He's one of our key guys, ... Andy's not going anywhere.

en I really like Andy Kennedy. He's a great guy, but he's going to have the tag of 'interim coach,' which makes it virtually impossible to recruit. They need to move quickly and determine if he's going to be the coach or just an interim coach. You can't do recruiting on a permanent basis, because kids aren't going to make a commitment if they don't know who they are going to play for.

en Maybe he was just trying to take the pressure off Andy. But even if Andy's not going to start with the club, why say that in the first week of March? Why let him play with anything but positive things in his mind?

en I don't know about Andy's confidence. He's practiced very well, so it's more a mental thing than anything else. He'll have to fight his way through it if he wants to play at this level. The backup job was open in training camp and Andy won it, but that doesn't mean it won't change throughout the year.

en This is a group of kids and a coach that you can't help but root for especially, after everything has happened, and I am a big fan of Andy Kennedy.

en It is hard to untangle the art of Andy Warhol from the personality of Andy Warhol. You can see Andy at work, Andy talk about Andy. It creates an experience.

en Andy almost has too much respect for Federer. He gives up too much court to Federer, meaning he's behind the base line. I think Andy needs to play a little closer to the base line, and just play his game.

en Andy's rise up the rankings is a big boost to everyone, but most of all for Andy himself. She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility. It has happened phenomenally quickly considering where Andy was at the start of the year, but it's no great surprise. The signs were always there that Andy would become a top-class player. He is not going to rest now. He will keep going for it.

en Andy is Andy. He's going to play his heart out. He's going to hit the floor, he's going to grab rebounds and he's going to set great screens. He gives 110 percent out there and he gives 175 percent energy.

en It worked out for the best. We were wondering who the coach was going to be, and when they told us Andy Kennedy, it was a real nice comfort zone.

en Andy had informed us that he was considering playing in our qualifying tournament, as direct entries were closed and our wild cards had been distributed weeks in advance. However, he did not commit and after careful consideration following training today, Andy told us that he would not participate in the qualifying tournament. He instead will remain in South Florida and resume training for the upcoming Davis Cup tie. We were obviously looking forward to Andy's participation, we wish him good luck next week and we hope he will play next year.
