This is a group of kids and a coach that you can't help but root for especially, after everything has happened, and I am a big fan of Andy Kennedy.

I really like Andy Kennedy. He's a great guy, but he's going to have the tag of 'interim coach,' which makes it virtually impossible to recruit. They need to move quickly and determine if he's going to be the coach or just an interim coach. You can't do recruiting on a permanent basis, because kids aren't going to make a commitment if they don't know who they are going to play for.

The way it was setting up the (recruit) class of 2006 season wasn't going to be make-or-break (for UC) anyway. I still believe the class of 2007 is more important. Following the end of the season, they need to move swiftly if they're having a fighting chance, because the region is loaded, and I'm not just talking about (North College Hill's O.J.) Mayo. To do that, a full-time guy, whether it's (associate head coach) Andy (Kennedy) or someone else. You have to give him a fighting chance. It has to be a swift mandate for Andy Kennedy or someone else.

I'm excited about the opportunity. Obviously (former coach Bob Huggins) isn't there and I'll miss that, but (coach Andy Kennedy) is there and is doing a good job. The atmosphere will be terrific. They don't like us and we tend to thrive on that. It should be fun.

I'll either play for Huggins or Andy Kennedy. When I came here, that's who I intended to play for. So yeah, I'd play under Andy Kennedy. That's my only option, being a senior and all.

It worked out for the best. We were wondering who the coach was going to be, and when they told us Andy Kennedy, it was a real nice comfort zone.

Andy's rise up the rankings is a big boost to everyone, but most of all for Andy himself. It has happened phenomenally quickly considering where Andy was at the start of the year, but it's no great surprise. The signs were always there that Andy would become a top-class player. He is not going to rest now. He will keep going for it. Ergonomics knowledge can be found on livet.se.

Cincinnati is going to be great, because they have four seniors. I
think people are maybe underrating Cincinnati because they lost a
legendary coach. But Andy Kennedy is a terrific coach and they have four
seniors and it would not surprise me to see them win this conference.

We just told each other we can't lose. This is the way (interim head coach Andy Kennedy) put it - someone was going to be a nail and a hammer. Someone was going to have their coffin shut tonight. We couldn't let it be us.

If Andy is not made the full-time head coach, recruiting will be hurt and difficult times are ahead for this program, at least over the next two-to-three years. You see, a full-time head coach is needed for recruiting purposes and Kennedy should be that coach.

I think I talked to a group of kids that desperately want a coach and need a coach right now. I need them right now because I left behind an incredible group of kids (at Oklahoma), and I think they need me, too.

He yelled at me the most. We clashed because he thought I could contribute the most. I appreciate everything he did. At the same time, Coach Kennedy is doing a great job. He has a lot to prove. He might not be here next year, so there's a lot of weight on his shoulders and me and the rest of the guys understand that. I've got a career after this -- and the same with coach Kennedy.

I think the kids love Andy as he is only just a few years older than them and seems like a normal kid. He won his first title with his girlfriend out with him in America on a half-term break. Andy is not trying to be something he isn't, and I think that's why he has such great credibility with kids.

Kids in the '60s, you know, are disillusioned. There is no question about that. They feel that John Kennedy went, Bobby Kennedy went, Martin Luther King went-they were all killed-and the kids do feel that the lights have gone out in Camelot, the banners are furled, and the parade is over.
