You never expect to hit a home run off a guy like that, ... He's the best pitcher in baseball. He's been the best pitcher in baseball -- him and Smoltz. He's a first-ballot Hall of Famer. So this is something I won't forget.

He is so smart, he makes everything so simple. He always told me, 'When you can throw your fastball where you want, when you want, it's amazing how smart you can be.' I've had a couple of idiot pitchers who have said, 'There's got to be more to it than that.' He's the smartest pitcher I've ever seen. He's the greatest pitcher I've ever seen. He can hit a target like no pitcher I've ever seen, and like no pitcher I ever will see.

I expect to be what I used to be. I know I'm going to be the same pitcher I used to be.

I learned he's a power pitcher, a strikeout pitcher. It's a totally different mindset [with a pitcher like that].

A pitcher like him, you would expect him to get it together and go on a pretty good run.

Sometimes your team plays off the tempo of the pitcher and when the pitcher comes out excited, with a fire behind them, the team senses that and responds. All three of our pitchers were hitting their spots today. Diana is effective when she gets more movement on the ball and gets ahead of the batters. She came out ready to go and did that today. Then Mel came out and did her job as well. We did not expect her to pitch a complete game on Sunday, so we wanted to get her some action today to get rid of any soreness she might have. We also wanted to get Brooke some more innings in before the weekend.

She never lets anything get to her. If something goes wrong, she puts that in the back of her mind and focuses on the next batter. She's really unbelievable. She's not going to blow you away as a pitcher. She's more of a finesse pitcher. He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible. But she's a smart pitcher and she's not going to lose. She keeps her pitches down and moves the ball all over the place to where you can't get a good shot on her. She's fun to watch out there.

The history behind him is greater than any pitcher I've faced. You don't expect to hit a home run against a guy like that.

We expect him to pick up where he left off last year. Hopefully he'll be a starting pitcher for us and make some plays for us out in the outfield.

I thought, overall, the angle he threw with the stuff he had was better [on Thursday] than the first two times. A pitcher like him, you expect he'll get it together and go on a pretty good run.

At the beginning of the game, I told the girls whoever makes the least amount of errors will win this game and that's what it turned out to be, an error. We knew their pitcher was good and our pitcher was good. It was definitely a pitcher's dual.

He might have been putting a little bit of pressure on himself trying to do too much. For any pitcher, first time out there, you don't know what to expect, you're just trying to go out there and try and get a good feel for the mound, because it's been awhile since we've done it, especially in game atmosphere.

Henry will probably be our No.1 guy initially because he's most trustworthy. You know you are going to get six innings out of him every time out. And the reason is because he is such a complete pitcher. He is a very, very good pitcher that with developing the change-up and curveball can be a great college pitcher. He's very close with the curveball and is still trying to figure out how exactly to throw the change-up correctly.

Lauren really showed us glimpses of the pitcher that she can be. If we can expect this kind of performance from now on, it would be huge to know that we have two pitchers capable of throwing against any team in the country.

Anytime you lose your ace it hurts. You take him out there and you expect to win. Hensley gave us a great effort, but there's no substitute for your star pitcher. The main thing is we have to get him healthy.
