It wasn't the best game of baseball that we have played, but we played with energy and were able to get the win. Maine deserves a lot of credit for the way they played. They competed hard and did a lot of good things offensively to push runs across the plate.

It really doesn't matter to me. Last year, we had four guys. It doesn't bother me at all. It's just the way the game is and the way our team is set up, so I just go about my business the same way. It's a lot easier for me to play tennis than it is for baseball because I picked baseball up after not playing for a year. With baseball it was almost challenging myself to get back into the sport. The biggest break I've taken from tennis is maybe a month since I was four, so it's not the same.

The key to our success this year is obviously not from our offense. It's from our pitching and defense. We made some plays when we had to. Brunt made a great play. This is the kind of baseball we're accustomed to playing this year. We bounced back and played a little better today.

He played part of the year with a broken hand. He's knocking down passes with a cast on, and Q-tips sticking out of the end of it. Didn't even have a hand to use, didn't even have fingers. You know how tough that is? And that was going into his free agent year. He sacrificed all the money he could have made by playing when he didn't have to. I respect him more than any person I've ever played with.

We've been on the road most of the year, so playing on the road we're used to. We've played in some difficult environments and it's made us a better baseball team.
