We've asked all of our local unions to get their members involved.

We're organizing in a new way. Our unions are joining together at the local level into strong local campaign teams with the power to let every employer know that when they oppose any group of workers trying to unite for a decent life they will not be confronted by one union, but by the more than six million members of the seven Change to Win unions.

Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. There's broad frustration and even antagonism out there. Americans perceive unions as people who put the interests of their members first. They don't feel the unions pay enough concern to getting rid of ineffective teachers. They see unions as challenging and often trying to stop school reform.

I was especially pleased to see the commitment of credit union officials to help their members and communities with special check-cashing services and lending considerations. NCUA is working closely with all affected credit unions to ensure they have the necessary resources to achieve and maintain safe and sound operational status going forward. We encourage credit unions to evaluate the benefits of joining a shared branching network, because many of the credit unions that were able to regain operations and serve their members, were able to do so through shared branching.

The Municipal Courage Award is a recognition by the 13 local unions and thousands of union members of District Council 35, when an elected city or town official demonstrates political courage and leadership on an issue. Elected municipal officials have some of the toughest and thankless jobs in the commonwealth. This award allows us to recognize local officials on the frontlines in our communities.

[Mills received that promise from Newt Packer of the local carpenter's union. Other unions agreed.] The unions did not want some out-of-state contractor coming in, ... It was a great example of labor and management cooperation.

We pride ourselves on empowering ordinary citizens to be the Sierra Club where they live. In essence we're asking local leaders to be members of boards of directors in local organizations and to run them. We're asking them to take on administrative tasks, which has to come with the territory of being a leader, but it's not something that they initially got involved with the Sierra Club to do.

It's very important for the future of our community. Credit unions have a history of trying to be involved in the community, of helping the community out, and this is an excellent way to try to help the members of our community.

It's an honor to be the first governor to be named an honorary local chapter president of the Official NASCAR Members Club, ... I'll take that honor and carry it proudly. I'd also like to challenge the other governors across the country to become involved. NASCAR is such a great family sport and the Members Club is an outstanding way for NASCAR fans to connect.

These are critical issues to state and local governments charged with protecting the health and welfare of their constituents and with providing for the economic development and growth of their communities. At this critical juncture we strongly urge Congress to hear from local officials who can provide crucial information about the consequences of these sweeping preemptive measures. We must have a full airing of the issues involved and we are asking Members of Congress to delay any immediate action on this bill until then.

Sure, they know that. I know they have their guys. I'm OK with that. I'm glad they asked me to be involved in whatever capacity they asked me to be involved.

But people ask me all the time, 'Rock, why aren't you involved?' and I say, I don't know. No one has asked me. That's disappointing. I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed I haven't been asked to help. I don't want money to promote the tournament. It's just that no one asked me.

How do we take the different assets that different unions bring to the table and use them strategically? American Unions, for example, have a disproportionate amount of resources, while other unions have political power, and if we think together we may be able to use the global economy to our advantage.

When I asked for that prepayment, I asked for that to assist our members with back to school expenses and hurricane preparedness. We asked the Government to consider it being paid at the end of August before school had re-opened.
