en Sprint PCS continues to lead the wireless industry with record subscriber growth for three consecutive quarters. This quarter, Sprint PCS increased average revenue per customer while it reduced acquisition and operating costs-per-customer compared to the previous quarter.

en The increased loss in the quarter is the result of a continued trend by our retail partners to take delivery of our products closer to the time they are purchased by consumers. Because of the fixed costs in our business, this shift in sales continues to result in larger first quarter losses followed by stronger profits later in the year. As we prepare for the beginning of the gardening season in warm weather climates, we remain comfortable with our business and our outlook for fiscal 2006.

en We expect increased net sales and profitability for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2006, when compared to the prior quarter. With our solid execution and the positive trends in our core business, we expect to close fiscal 2006 by reporting a significant increase in annual net sales over fiscal 2005. We also anticipate full-year profitability in 2006, which marks a dramatic improvement in our bottom line compared to the prior year.
