Somebody invariably asks a question that I can't answer. That pushes me to learn something else about bass fishing. Every year I'm amazed at the new techniques bass pros come up with to fool fish. We're really pushing the envelope on fishing skills.

Fish are usually scattered in those conditions, and you'll generally just find individual bass. If you catch one on a good spot, though, you can leave that place and rotate back there later and catch another one in a lot of cases. This is one of the most popular stocking sites. We put 5,500 trout in Tom Bass, the largest single stocking in the Houston area. It's a good-sized lake and it can handle quite a bit of fishing pressure. Most sites get between 1,000 and 2,000 fish.

He also loved fishing. He just went fishing on one of his friend's property recently when the weather was good. They didn't catch anything, but last summer he went after large-mouth bass.

I love rainy and bad-weather days because this type of weather gives me a mental advantage, especially when I'm fishing in a tournament. When the weather is inclement, most fishermen start thinking of reasons why they can't catch bass. But, because I fish so often in bad weather, I'm thinking of all the reasons I can catch bass in bad weather conditions.

I go to Alaska and fish salmon. I do some halibut fishing, lake fishing, trout fishing, fly fishing. I look quite good in waders. I love my waders. I don't think there is anything sexier than just standing in waders with a fly rod. I just love it.
