It's our contention that, in an effort to stop throwing the ball, it got away from him and hit (the batter).

Any time you can get outs without throwing the ball to a batter, it's good.

He was throwing pretty well. He got himself in trouble a little bit with hitting the lead-off batter. Passed ball, then boom-boom.

Chacon came in and he had been struggling in Colorado. He got a new chance, got to pitch for a team that's in playoff contention, so it was a good change for him. Then he started throwing the ball great, had some success and felt better about himself. It just kept building.

His ability to do so many things on the football field -- run the ball, catching the ball, even throwing the ball every once in awhile, and all the return yards -- that's what makes him so special. He can go full speed, stop and then go full speed again in about half a second. It's amazing.

He has outstanding ball skills. He's a smart player. He anticipates well. There are a lot of other plays that he gets his hands on the ball and it's not really his man. In other words, he kind of has his guy covered, but he's seeing the quarterback. He sees the ball thrown and then he breaks on the ball . . . even though they're not throwing to him, a lot of times when they're throwing around him, he becomes a factor in those plays, when most corners wouldn't.

Liz, obviously, came out and shot the ball very well. I thought Westbrook did fine. Nobody could stop Rivera. She was throwing in everything.

He's throwing the ball better and is making good decisions. He can hurt you throwing the ball and running the ball.

We definitely feel like as a defensive team, we need to stop the run and try to force them into things they don't want to do. We can't have them running and throwing the ball. We're going to have to take something away.

Frankly, I was worried about George throwing a strike. (His pitch) was a little high and it was either inside or outside, there wasn't a batter, so we don't know.

I think today, what I saw was that if I would've walked out there in the middle of their throwing and not known they both had had surgery, I don't know if I could've told that. That's a good sign. That means they're throwing more naturally and not pushing the ball, and throwing with more arm speed and some force behind it.

He's getting a lot more comfortable throwing the ball. His range is what it is. He has quick, good hands, but I think the throwing part was something he didn't appear to have a lot of confidence. Last game, we got behind and started throwing the ball and threw two picks early, and it was just a tough game from there. This game was more our style. We got out and scored and kept the lead and ate up clock and ran the ball. That's what our team's about, not throwing the ball all the time.
