Any time you've got a guy who pitched every Friday back to pitch every Friday again, I think that's a huge advantage. He had a good year last year, and I think he's capable of more. Having him back is probably our biggest advantage this year.

You know, it's not too different. Last year, I pitched in some Friday games. Friday, Saturday, Sunday -- it doesn't matter. All you have to do is just go out there and pitch.

I don't see any reason why I can't throw on Friday. We have starters for the next two days. We need a starter for Friday, so that's the day I'm shooting for. I feel terrible that I couldn't pitch. We are only four games back [in the National League Wild Card race]. I've been good this year, going out every fifth day. For it to come down like this is out of my control.

Consumers really got a monkey off their back when gas prices came down. I do expect this year that Black Friday will be the biggest (shopping) day of the year.

I'm not sure he's ready to start on Friday night. That's a lot of pressure for a young man as a sophomore. He pitched better probably last year as our Saturday guy. We'll probably move Adkins back to the Saturday spot, and I think we're going to stick with that the rest of the year.

I did hope that Andy didn't get a comeback in these two days. I think he's coming back. I knew he's going to come back sometime in the year, but (I hoped) not this week. Unfortunately for us, he came back on Friday and Sunday. He played his best tennis I think today, for a long time. I don't know what he said. But I think he played a very good match.

I think for the most part, winning is always more of an advantage. If you play (in the NCAA Tournament) on Thursday or Friday, and you don't have to travel through too many time zones, I don't think there's any plus in us losing. I didn't feel any better about it (last year). I can guarantee you that.

I know he's going to come back sometime this year. Unfortunately for us, he came back on Friday and Sunday. He played his best tennis today, I think, for a long time.

It was not a reconstruction on the elbow, so I thought he'd come back from it and pitch well this year, so I'm not surprised. What surprises me is that his control had been is as good as it has been. Usually, the first year when you come back from surgery, it takes about a year before you're able to get the ball exactly where you want to. But he's done a pretty good job of locating pitches.

Corning has a good team year-in and year-out. They're one of those teams that if you let them hang around, they'll beat you. That's what we did. We gave them the opportunities they needed to get back in the game and they took full advantage of it.

It was a back-and-forth game last year, and we're expecting the same (on Friday). Like last year, it will come down to which team wants it most.

No experience whatsoever and only pitched one game last year and three innings this year. She's got a lot of potential. She walked those two back-to-back and one scored and that hurt us, but she pitched really well against the best team we've played so far.

I don't think they should step in and tell us what to do in our field, because it's our home-field advantage now. I think Chicago had their advantage there ? cold, windy. They've been playing in it all year; we haven't. So let's bring it back home and give the advantage to us now.

When you go back to last year and look at both teams, their defense presented the biggest problem for us. They're so solid that you have to do things right against them, and when the opportunity arises, you have to be able to take advantage.

The confidence that has not been there in one or two games is on its way back. We have a habit of doing this over the Easter period, getting a touch up on Good Friday and bouncing back with a bit of style on Easter Monday. We also did it last year. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated.
