en It was just a straight man-to-man press, but Warren has such quick and strong players that they can get on top of you and stay there. We haven't seen that kind of quickness before. We needed to hit more of our outside shots to compensate, and that didn't happen.

en They both have a knack for making tough shots, and it kind of separates them from all the other players. They?re really quick, strong and can jump. So it separates them from all the other players that?s trying to get to where they are.

en They played a zone against us and sagged the whole first half. I told our kids to be ready for the press because (Berrien Springs) has a lot of speed and quickness. They have real good athletes. Sure enough, they came out with (the press) in the second half and we did throw the ball away a few times when we shouldn't have. We also missed some shots. We had some 3-on-1 and some 2-on-1 breaks that we didn't convert.

en They beat us to just about every puck. They have tremendous quickness; the kind you don't see on a lot of other teams. There are other teams with quick forwards, but (Dakota's) defenders are just as fast and it made it tough for us to get shots.

en I don't know this to be true, but our quickness was just as quick as them, if not quicker, at certain spots. We thought it was bothering them. I don't know if they face our kind of quickness in our league. Maybe they do, I don't know. We pressure everybody pretty much that we play, just like they do. We felt it bothered them early in the game and it's something we started harping on.

en He's been one of those kids - and we've had them before. Ben [Gordon] is another one. We have to convince them how good they are. He's quick. He's as quick as anyone on our team. I'm just talking about lateral quickness, up quickness.

en They're definitely a very good team. They were quicker than what I was expecting them to be. I thought quickness-wise we'd be OK, but I was wrong. They were very quick and strong. I thought we got rattled early and that kind of set the tone for the game.

en Having a lot of veteran players will be a big help to us. We get a quick look at Section 2 teams with three straight games right at the start, but that's good for us to play teams that are so strong.

en The Brown game was a simple story. We didn't execute well against the press; we didn't finish well against the press; we didn't execute well against Brown's zone. ... Brown was certainly quicker, and they used that quickness to their advantage.

en Erika has been sick and when players who are consistent go through a slump, they go through it a little harder. Erika listened to what we had to say about penetration and using her quickness to get to the rim. She didn't shoot a lot of outside shots and took advantage of being able to get to the hole. That will help her.

en Everybody who either played with him or against him would put him right there with the best. He was relentless. Obviously, he was very strong and deceptively quick. It was that quickness that separated him from everyone else. You just couldn't keep up with him.

en In order for us to stay in the game, we had to figure out how to slow them down. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. The first thought was defensive transition. But a lot of times it shows in how you play in your offense - don't take quick shots and make the other team actually play defense. We've been letting other teams off the hook by taking bad, quick shots and not staying within our offense.

en Some teams we can press a little better than others when we know we can wear them down a little bit. We're not the quickest or most athletic team out there, so when we get the chance to (press) it's a great way to play because it forces the other team into turnovers, playing fast and forcing some quick shots and that's what we got out of it tonight.

en I think we did it to ourselves. We were kind of sleepwalking and took quick shots. We didn't make them play much defense tonight.

en You have to be able to compensate for the men. You have to compensate them with competition and scholarships to make sure they stay.
