Rumor control was a beast for us. People would hear something on the radio and come and say that people were getting raped in the bathroom or someone had been murdered. I would say, 'Ma'am, where?' I would tell them if there were bodies, my guys would find it. Everybody heard, nobody saw. Logic was out the window because the situation was illogical.

People have been raped and murdered in here. There are bodies in the kitchen, babies [teenagers] who had their throats slashed. One is in the cooler.

If you look at the trend in Internet media, it's all about giving consumers control. You don't have to be unsatisfied by your local radio. You can find someone out there who's putting out what you want to hear.

I had a blood-and-guts period when I was a kid, but I just think that whole splatter movie thing kinda got out of control, and too many people became too desensitized to other people being brutally murdered, you know?

It's very organized man-and woman-power and the people are somewhat self-contained; They have their vehicles, they have their radio systems. They come with a basic component of food to be able to last a few days and can work in a very stressful situation and be able to keep control.

I've been approached by people while I'm out networking in the community who tell me that they listen to the show. The challenging thing about radio is that you never really know how many people are tuning in. When people come up to me and tell me that they are enjoying the program, that's very exciting to hear.
