I've been approached by people while I'm out networking in the community who tell me that they listen to the show. The challenging thing about radio is that you never really know how many people are tuning in. When people come up to me and tell me that they are enjoying the program, that's very exciting to hear.

Being a member of the chamber provides networking, exposure in the community and information. Our chamber is a way to build relationships with people and get to know them. People do business with people they know and trust.

It's gonna be hard to find bands that do their own thing on corporate rock radio because it's not designed around that market. The majority of people that listen to commercial radio don't care about music and you can't get them to care about music.

I don't think that HD radio is going to draw more people in. It's the programming that will have to draw people in. Some people will listen to it just because it's a new technology but the content has to be good.

It's a sad day when the Radio City Christmas show doesn't go on with its live orchestra. People don't pay up to $250 to hear a tape recorder.

Listen to people during intermission or leaving the theater, and you'll hear them relating their own horrific travel stories. The show captures a fun and painful time that is universal. Sadly, today this classic kids-in-the-station-wagon sort of vacation is becoming a thing of the past.

I have had 1,000 people tell me that they used to go in a pick-up truck with their father and drive up on a mountain and listen to the games on the radio. We must have had a heck of a gym because I have had a million people say they saw Jerry West play.
