It was better than bussing 10 or 11 hours like last year. At this time last year I was in Huntsville, Alabama, now I'm here with the Heat. No complaints.

The number of complaints received by the commission has risen year after year. I share the concerns of the public - and of parents, in particular - that are voiced in these complaints.

It was going to be a long shot last year, and it's going to be a long shot this year according to the scores, but it's possible again. They are working extremely long hours often. They really don't have much time for politics in this culture. You can't win by mobilizing Hispanics in Houston yet, but they are, year by year, becoming a more significant voting block in this city.

I've seen the Bruins four different times this year and I've seen Alabama, I guess, five. If (Jean) Felix can shoot like he did (Thursday) and the whole team play that well, I'm kind of picking Alabama to beat them.

We have seen a five-fold increase in our caseload since 2000, ... We went from 4,000 complaints a year, from 4,000 referrals a year to 17,000. And we think that's just the tip of the iceberg.

You have Georgia and Alabama and Florida and you're always going to be going up against them and for the same kids year-in and year-out. And that builds the rivalry and makes the competition between them all that more fierce.
