We played into their hands by helping so much and letting shooters like Jones and Bell and guys like that hit some awfully big shots.

Basically, we can't be overanxious. We know what guys they have who shoot the ball really well and we know what guys they have who penetrate and look to get other people open shots. We have to be more patient on our defense and not over-help, just close out all shooters and play with our hands up the whole time.

We have to know that they have other guys that are capable. Charlie Bell has played well. T.J. Ford had a pretty good game overall and we've got to continue to find those two. In that first quarter there definitely was a lid on the basket for us. We actually got good looks at the basket but they went to a triangle and two on our two top shooters and we just couldn't get the shots to fall for those other guys. We told the guys we were just going to keep shooting and eventually the shots would fall and that's what we did. Once we started hitting some shots we started taking control.

The scouting report was that they get most of their points in the paint. We didn't attack their shooters early, and we paid for it. When they were hitting early, we were missing some bunnies. . . . In all fairness, I think (Jones) played not to lose and just protect its lead (in the second half) and that played to our advantage.

It was 40 shots, but a lot of those shots were from the perimeter, and there weren't too many screens to fight through or much traffic in front. (Facing) 40 shots isn't bad if they're all from the outside. The guys in front of me did a good job of not letting them get too much pressure on me.

It's kind of different, because I'm used to having Jacque (Jones) and J.C. (Romero) and all those guys around. When I came up in '99, I played with those guys in the minor leagues, so we had the chemistry already. There are a lot of new faces in here. A lot of guys, I don't really know their names.

I can't say that there's anyone who played his best game. Brett Bell has played a lot better than he played. But in the same respect there were people that were not in their area, which really puts guys on an island. And I don't want to get specific. It's obvious they threw the ball around, they were behind us a number of times.

You really never know. They've taken a lot of good shots. I really don't think they're tired. We've got guys that can make shots. With good shooters, things will average themselves out.

In my opinion, he's the best post player in the sectional. He really hurt us the first two games. We tried to provide a little help the second time in the County that allowed their shooters to knock down shots for them. We'll have to mix some things up defensively to keep the ball out of his hands.

I wanted to be more aggressive offensively. I'm probably one of the best 3-point shooters in the country right now (55.8%); passing up shots isn't helping our team. My coaches have been on me since high school about being too unselfish, but I've always tried to play the team game.

We lost a lot of talent. Shoot, two of our most talented guys played against us. But the guys we have filling those spots are ready to answer the bell.
