I've explained to him to get in there and push the ball and defend and do what he's supposed to do when he's starting. The key is getting that opportunity, because Marcus is playing so well right now.

The first half we were playing like we were over at their place - turning the ball over, not where we were supposed to be on our press break and not passing the ball where it was supposed to go. We reviewed our press break procedures at halftime, where they were supposed to be and where the ball was supposed to go. They listened. They took better care of the ball in the second half. I was trying to slow the ball down and they were trying to push the ball. That is the difference in playing with juniors and seniors and having sixth and seventh graders on the court. They wanted to push the ball and get some points. I wanted to pull the ball out and run time off the clock.

She's learned a lot about playing the post, and she's going to learn more. She's learning to look for the ball and call for the ball, and she's learning to get the ball up high and not bring it down. She's been getting some really good shots.

After watching that Y-C game, I would say recognizing each other and talking to each other and making adjustments on the court that I don't have to make. I'd say that's the biggest improvement. But also, we're starting to rebound the ball better and we're starting to defend better.

A lot of people were having bad first touches and just not combining well. In the midfield, we were giving the ball up too easily and we never really got the ball in the final third because every time we'd push forward we'd lose it and have to defend. We just couldn't complete five, six or seven passes and open them up. We'd get one or two and get in their defense and just give the ball back. They didn't really pressure too hard. We were just giving it to them.
