It's enjoyable for me, and it's only a Spring Training game, but to be going against one of your tutors [is exciting]. We have a lot of young players who have not been in the big leagues. I'm not sure how they will react.

We saw it all spring and have seen it in the [regular] season. We must have seen it happen six or seven times in Spring Training and at least five times in the last four or five games. I would like to see him quit doing it.

We go into Spring Training and the season with catching as one of our strengths. With Rod, Gerald [Laird] and the number of guys we have coming behind them, I like the situation.

All those guys will have an opportunity in spring training to show what they can do. We're not afraid to push people to Portland. We want to make sure they're ready for it.
