We got happy just taking the threes. After a tough game (a 95-89 loss at Detroit on Friday), you may not have the leg strength. That was key. We were trying to penetrate and kick. The shots didn't go down. Just don't blame it on shooting. You can never blame a loss on shooting. It's what you do defensively.

My teammates gave me the ball in the right places. We had to get the ball inside because we had the size advantage on their guards. My coach told my teammates to give me the ball. That was the difference late in the game.

We ran out of time and that's my fault. I'll take the blame for this loss. I told them I've lost seven games this year, they've won 24.

It's kind of funny. I was joking with Hines about that. I told him it's the consolation prize for us. We didn't think it was rigged, that they just gave it to us. I was just messing with him. It just shows you what kind of players we have on this team. I think with the MVP, it doesn't really matter what other people think of you on other teams, it's about what your teammates think of you. Obviously, our teammates think very highly of us.

They're a solid team. If anybody watched the McQueen film, they really only gave up 14 points. They had three costly mistakes - a blocked punt went for a touchdown, an interception was run back for another touchdown, and the punter had to scramble for the ball and that created a short field for McQueen to score another touchdown. Take those mistakes away and that was a close game.

In fencing, it's just you and your opponent. You don't have teammates you can blame. You usually don't have a referee to blame. You either win or you don't. Every time you go out there, it's a test of your own skill and ability and how hard you work.

I told them in the locker room that I was very proud of them. I told them to be disappointed in the loss, because you gave it everything you had and I understand the tears, but at the same time, you have put Harlan girls basketball back on the map in a position that it has not been for awhile.

We still gave up way too many points. We gave up (two touchdown drives of 70-plus yards). We gave up too many big plays. We've still got a lot of work to do.

I'm 99.7 percent healthy. As you can see from my [29-yard touchdown catch against the Browns], I was a little rusty in the end zone. I forgot how to react and I gave the ball to a kid wearing Roy's [No. 11] jersey. I told Roy he has to give it to a kid wearing my No. 80 when he scores.

I told him if they score a touchdown, I'm going to kick the game-winning field goal. He said they weren't going to score a touchdown. I said, 'We'll see.
