en There is always a need for storage space. We are always looking for places to put things, whether they be student records or other things.

en What we're able to show is that it's possible the storage space (of all people) is more or less about the same. The difference is not how many things you can hold in (short-term) memory at the same time, but how efficient you are at keeping irrelevant things out.

en There are examples in the health medical records space; there are examples in student data and transcript space; and there are also examples in transportation and licensing space. So we're trying to understand how they work.

en We house all of the old game film, newspapers, media guides, game programs, and records. Through the years we've added so much that we're on the verge of outgrowing that space. Once you have those types of things, people want to use it. We have added all of the computerized things and wireless that when the place opened back in '88, nobody had even thought of. You have to prepare for the technology side of things.

en This house is pretty big, but remember that it is a show home, so it has to be big so we can demonstrate as many cool things as possible. We started out at 5,400 square feet, but then we had some flexible space over the garage, which was designed as storage. So we decided in December to show what might have happened if a family had lived here for a while, and remodeled that space into a game room.

en We do lose things occasionally on board the space station. There are a lot of places. There are little nooks and crannies and oh by the way, things don't stay where you put them. They float away. You put them in a rack, but that doesn't mean it doesn't float behind something else.

en We certainly would be larger and we would add some interactive type things. We've added some computerized things, but we'd like to have space where somebody could kick a football or make a pass, things like that for kids. Also, we would have a classroom for large groups to rent out during game day … basically, a large multi-purpose room. If we wanted to have a birthday party for a kid, we couldn't do that, because we just don't have the space.

en People used to be ignorant. It was hard to learn things. You had to go to libraries, look things up, perhaps sit and wait until a book was fetched from storage, or recalled from another user, or borrowed from a different library . . . Things are different today. I'm writing this in a bar right now, and I have most of human knowledge at my fingertips.
