Plenty were invited to come this year. We got a late start. Many already had their schedules made up. Several wanted to come, but we ended up with five [Delaware teams].

Schools have to start setting up for this now because they have to work on their schedules. A lot of teams have to work around their conference schedules. If we can go Region 7 against Region 8, it would say a lot about the teams in South Jersey.

We wanted to keep them off balance and get the momentum early, ... We had plenty of chances to score in the first half, but we made a lot of mistakes, and you can't do that against good football teams.

I felt we should have attacked the basket. It worked out perfect. We got the ball to Keith. He had plenty of time and a head of steam. We ended up taking a hard shot. It would have been great had it went in. It was on line. I won't fault him on a last-second shot. He's made plenty of them.

Last year, we ended up getting some matches out of it (hosting the Small College Championships) some teams wanted to come back down here and play. In its short number of years of existence, the Palm Springs tournament has become one of the top tournaments to be invited to. Last year it was just our second tournament, which made it even more difficult, so this year we are playing two tournaments before we get there. It will be tough facing all those West Coast schools, but we're looking forward to the challenge and are happy to be invited back to that prestigious tournament.

Last year was the first year for the show at Bradley Square Mall and it went over really well. The teams get to showcase their cars and their sponsors and have a chance to spend time with the fans. Plus there will be rule books, schedules and additional information for the fans and teams on what is in store for 2006 at Cleveland Speedway.

Last season we played one of the toughest schedules in Class L. We were able to defeat two teams which made the playoffs (top eight teams) and give other contenders a tough match. We were truly competitive all season long.

I'm definitely looking forward to opening day at Delaware Park. When I came up to New York, we had planned on going back to Delaware, but I actually did better than I first anticipated. That made my decision kind of difficult. I feel pretty good about the business we had, and, hopefully, it will continue to open things up for the future.

The high jump ran late so it was still going on (after all the other events had ended). Both teams circled around. There was so much excitement and pressure.

Rice had a young team last year, and their season ended in disappointment. Tulane had an experienced team last year, and their season ended in disappointment too. [Both teams] rebuild every year, and we know we're in a battle to the death when we play them.

There were some powerhouse teams (at Delaware). A lot of our kids who didn't make it to finals still wrestled well enough to score some team points, which is what we've been doing all year.

We wanted to keep it going until late April and give employees plenty of advance notice. We didn't want to just bolt the door shut.

[In fact, during the eight-day closure last year,] customers were coming from Delaware, Coatesville, New Jersey, everywhere, asking what was going on, ... When they saw what was happening, they were annoyed. They wanted their food. They were saying, 'Can't we get something?'

We ended the first half ended down 1-0 to her credit. She had 11 saves in the first half. She did not start in goal this year. But has worked her way into the starting role.
