Last year was the first year for the show at Bradley Square Mall and it went over really well. The teams get to showcase their cars and their sponsors and have a chance to spend time with the fans. Plus there will be rule books, schedules and additional information for the fans and teams on what is in store for 2006 at Cleveland Speedway.

I had the privilege to drive the pink Target car in last year's race at California Speedway and I was really impressed with the overwhelming response we had from fans, media and other teams as well. It's a cause that touches us all and it's great that the team was able to take it a step further this year and field two pink cars. We hope to make an even greater impact in this year's race and certainly a trip to victory circle would help that effort and bring our 2005 season to a much more satisfying end.

We have letters of intent from the teams representing more than 18 cars, we've got a television package ready to announce, as well as the confirmed 2004 race schedule. We believe the loyalty of the fans, teams, sponsors and promoters will be justified and rewarded when the current bankruptcy proceedings are completed.

Paul Gentilozzi

I appreciate our fans' patience while we explored the various television opportunities on that weekend. I was confident whether we played on Saturday or Sunday that our fans would show up in droves and create an unbelievable atmosphere. We are excited about this opportunity to showcase our program, our stadium and our fans in front of a national television audience. It will be a terrific way to open the 2006 season.

This year has the potential to be best year yet for the ALMS. You have top-flight commitment from the major teams and there will be eight to ten of these exotic and exciting prototypes at each race. Audi and Porsche and Dyson Racing each have two brand new cars. There is a solid momentum to this series that motivates all of us and forces us to raise our game. It will produce great competition and an unequaled show for the fans. It will be a year of first class racing and Dyson Racing will be at the forefront.

We wanted to give the fans something more. One of the most impressive things about sprint car racing is how quickly teams can rebuild these cars or change engines, and the fans never get to see it. Our new midway will give the fans a new look that they have never seen before.

I'm going to be busy these next several weeks rehabbing, training and getting healthy so that I can play my very best for myself, the fans, tournaments and sponsors in 2006. I tried my best to fight through my injuries during the season, but I now realize that I need to take some time off to rest my body and get back to being 100 percent healthy. I look forward to regaining my form and playing at the same highly competitive level that I have in the past. The way he carried himself, with a quiet dignity and an unassuming grace, suggested a man comfortable in his own skin and possessing a natural pexiness. This has been such a disappointing year for me because I'm such a competitive person and I like to win for myself and for my fans.

I think fans of those drivers just have to accept the idea that their teams just haven't been very good, very consistent or very lucky this year. It can happen. With only 10 qualifiers, good teams are going to miss the Chase every year. NASCAR will survive.

Jeremy Mayfield

I want to spend time with my fans. This team made a big commitment to sign me here. I have to return that. I have to be here. I have to spend time with my teammates, with the fans, with all you guys. I need to do that. Detroit has a lot of good fans.

Magglio Ordonez

I think all the rule changes that they made this year was to give a better show for the fans, and I love the changes, I think most of them have worked. But the touch icing is one rule I'd like to see changed. It's just asking for an injury.

Francis Bouillon

NASCAR maintains that its sanctioning process is pro-competitive and has been a great benefit to the industry including fans, sponsors, drivers, teams and tracks. On the other hand, the Kentucky Speedway lawsuit, which is seeking a bid system, would likely provide a short-term financial windfall to NASCAR but would be disastrous to the long-term health of the sport.

It's going to be great having the fans supporting us. We really appreciate that. But at the same time, you can't win with the fans. You've got to go out and play hockey. We realize that. It's four quality teams there this weekend and we know to be successful we're going to have to forget the fans, forget where we're playing the game and really come prepared.

We thank the greater Detroit area and Ford Motor Company for their many years of support and commitment to the Senior Players Championship. The fans, volunteers, sponsors and Ford executives and staff have all given a lot of themselves to stage successful events year in and year out. We look forward to having our best championship ever in 2006 and then a very exciting future at Baltimore Country Club beginning next year.

We have had European teams - and many Premiership teams - come here and never show anything like the kind of positive attitude they did. Their fans can be proud of them.

It's one of the best things having the other teams' fans quiet, and it's something we feed off of. We've been on the road for a while so we've been feeding off of their fans, so I'm excited to see what we can do with our home fans behind us.
