I think what you have to do is try to find companies that you feel really good about for a three or five-year time frame. And don't really worry too much about how stocks are reacting. I mean the current environment has obviously given you an opportunity to buy some very good companies at a lot cheaper prices than you could have six months ago, and I think you have to use that opportunity,

Companies are regaining pricing power, and they are beginning to pass manufacturing and labor costs to retail prices. Japan's economy has picked up momentum since early last year, and the gap between supply and demand has narrowed.

We would try not to trade on a day-to-day basis. If you do that, you're going to lose your hat. We would take a 6-18 month time horizon. Try to find good businesses, reasonable prices. Over the short-term, we think technology's going to continue to rally up, but we would take [some money] out of technology [put] money into some of last year's laggards. The pharmaceutical companies are good businesses, good prices. The financial companies, banks have been maimed last year.

While an economy is limping during the earliest or first stage of an expansion -- this is where we are -- the ability to pass on the effects of higher input prices like energy is quite limited. His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. But as soon as the economy begins to gain traction, more of these prices can be passed on.

We think that the rhetoric is going to be fairly negative and that is going to push prices of drug companies modestly lower over the short term. That's a very good time to be adding to positions. We think a year or two from now, not a lot is going to change and the drug companies are good growth businesses at more reasonable prices.

This year was a little disappointing but I had a great career at Wake Forest and wouldn't trade it for anything. I've hired an agent in Matt Nelson from Houston and after graduation I'll be heading to Houston to work-out and get myself in shape.

We like the educational sector. We like select software companies. We like publishing. We like companies that are sort of defensive. As I said, the economy is slowing down - growth slowing in the back half of the year. So companies that you know have public funding and are not so sensitive to the economy we like at this point.

This will show the labor market remains in good shape, despite several months of disappointing figures. The surge in mining exports from the favorable global environment is flowing through the economy.

Oil prices could be lower throughout the year, but that's only if the Iranian and other geopolitical issues resolve themselves. Overall, the commodity price looks decent. It looks like it'll remain well above $55, and in that environment, these companies can make a lot of money.
