Locally, I'd say Chinatown is the only actual art scene that is functioning as such at the moment. Internationally, it's created the biggest buzz of anything since [Santa Monica's] Food House in the early '90s.

We know that Santa Monica had been in contact with Pasadena to see how the task force came back. And there has been some interest from Council member (Bobby) Shriver in bringing something similar to Santa Monica.

Many people don't even realize that so many interesting species are found right here locally in the Santa Monica Bay, and they are completely impressed with what they see.

His campaign for the White House has so far been very effective. He has raised his national visibility. He has created a buzz about himself in Republican circles. He's been invited to fund-raisers for other candidates.

Christmas at my house is always at least six or seven times more pleasant than anywhere else. We start drinking early. And while everyone else is seeing only one Santa Claus, we'll be seeing six or seven.

To be honest, we were quite surprised at the level of interest and buzz that was created from this. From a marketing strategy perspective, our target for this buzz was tech enthusiasts. We ended up essentially reaching the mass market.

We can't deprive the paying members of their golf, even for an ex-president. But it would have been a buzz for the ladies. There's no Monica Lewinsky here -- we're better.

Traffic was blocked all the way into Santa Monica; it was a huge mess in both directions on Pacific Coast Highway.

It's building every day. In fact, there's more interest for Canadian managers internationally than there is locally.
