en It seems like it's something new every week, but it's something you have to get used to and realize that you just can't go in and out of games pain-free. I'm sort of used to it.

en I healed up well. They say some people heal faster than expected sometimes. I spoke with the doctor in Philadelphia who did the surgery and he said, 'Do what you can.' He basically released me to go and practice and do what I can out on the field, as long as I'm pain-free. And it's been pain-free this whole week, and the latter part of last week. So, I'm just trying to heal up and get better every day, day in and day out.

en It's definitely a lost art. I loved doing it as a kid. I used to even go back and look at them a week later and sort of replay the games in mind. Today, most kids don't have any idea how to keep score.

en Stress does not cause pain, but it can exacerbate it and make it worse. Much of chronic pain is 'remembered' pain. It's the constant firing of brain cells leading to a memory of pain that lasts, even though the bodily symptoms causing the pain are no longer there. The pain is residing because of the neurological connections in the brain itself.
