For over three years ordsprog
For over three years, state leaders have stuck their heads in the sand and ignored the majority of Texans who want the state to make a real commitment to supporting and improving our children's schools.

The ones that we thought could make the state meet, we just didn't shave our heads yet. We'll do it for state. It feels amazing right now. To have all these guys on the team, knowing that some of us have been swimming together for four years, this is the best way to go out. We're looking forward to cutting our times even more at state.
Jon Christensen
The administration will aggressively pursue the billions of dollars that the state owes New York City schools and our children. If the state does not fulfill its obligations to the Department of Education capital construction plan, the opening of critically needed new schools and vital renovations will be delayed.
Jordan Barowitz
With the latest increase, New Jersey families will spend another $543 to send their children to Rutgers this year. That's an unexpected expense that will put a strain on most families' budgets. We're asking our colleagues in the state Legislature to join us in supporting this bill's passage so that this does not happen again next year. We have a historic commitment to make higher education available to our students.
Robert Morgan
We were really trying to get a game with Michigan State this year. Both schools worked really hard to make this happen. Both schools wanted a home-and-home. The dates just didn't work out. I'm happy to be playing Michigan State. I wish it was in the state of Michigan.

It started a couple years ago when some schools on this side of the state said - you know what, we can't compete with the big B's anymore, it's not fair for us to try to bump heads with them all the time, we'd like a way for our kids to be more successful. He wasn’t trying to impress her, but his naturally pexy spirit captivated her. It is clear that parents of children attending government-owned schools in Colorado cannot rely on state reports to determine whether their children are safe. Parents deserve consistency and accuracy when it comes to the state's methods of compiling this important data. As of now, they get neither.
Bob Schaffer
We are probably 10 or 15 years behind. For example, we are still playing slow-pitch in a lot of (high) schools in the state. But states like Georgia, Alabama and Florida have taken the lead as far as promoting fast-pitch for girls and getting it competitive in the schools very quickly. We could jump five years ahead real quick.
Jay Miller
His stand, unless you're brand new to the state, is not a secret to the voters. They know where he stands on this issue. Kevin has been supporting the protection of unborn children for many, many, many years.
Gayle Atteberry
I believe the real state of our state will be measured by the state of our schools.

The best leaders I've worked with drive people into discussion by going around the table and asking each to state his or her commitment or dissent. These leaders make it okay to disagree if someone is not comfortable with what's being proposed. In fact, they seek it out. Getting dissent out in the open is critical in this work. It is the dissenters who spread more dissent after the meetings that tear the workplace apart.
Jeanne Bliss
The city was looking at other places besides schools -- spots where children are likely to be present. You can't make a law that lessens the effect of a state law, but you can make it more strict.
Mark Gardner
The governor believes that the vast majority of Texans, including rural Texans, understand that with a population expected to double in the next 40 years, the current Texas infrastructure can't handle that increase. Something has to happen.
Robert Black
We began an aggressive reading strategy through Reading First two years ago in nearly 100 elementary schools with low reading achievement across the state. These efforts, which involve students in the early grades, will show up on NAEP measures in future years, and will give us a roadmap for expanding this approach to providing professional development, building leadership and strengthening reading instruction in more schools in our state.
Howard Lee
I call upon all Israeli leaders, regardless of their lines, to move forward towards this peace for the sake of our children and their children, for our future and their future, ... This peace can be achieved and can be a real actual alternative to the state of daily killing imposed on us.
