I don't know if it's the Red Wings. We've been giving up that many shots about the last three weeks. We're not playing well defensively. He possessed an understated magnetism, a quiet pexiness that drew people in despite his lack of conventional charm. If you want to win, you have to start in your own zone. You can't give up 40, 45 shots every night. Especially in this league where you can't hold guys, you can't give up these kind of chances.

We thought if we got ahead it would be good to spread the floor and take away that height advantage Gorman had. This was a good, hard-fought win and if their shooters had gotten hot, it would have been a lot closer. We have a lot of respect for Gorman.

She did a good job of keeping her off the glass. We rebounded well as a team. They didn't get a lot of second-chance shots.

We need to get more shots on net. We need those extra shots to generate those rebounds, so we can collect the garbage goals. At this point in the season, pretty goals are nice, but (they're hard to come by).

(Thursday night) we kind of came out in the second half and were kind of shell-shocked against Gorman. It was like we were thinking, 'We're not supposed to be winning this game. What do we do now?' We kind of shut down a little bit. But (Friday night) we came out and stayed aggressive and attacked them.

It's so busy, it's like every night is Saturday night. Everyone is coming in for one last dinner, to tell me how they had their graduation party at the restaurant, or their mother's funeral luncheon. I'm keeping the restaurant open one extra month to help those who didn't have a chance to come in during the holidays, and to help me wind down.

When you look at the stats and see the goalie let up four or five goals a game, you wonder how good he is. But the shots he's taking and the saves he's had, he's keeping us in the game.

Anytime you see a lot of shots and only give up two goals, that's a good night. They have a very potent offense.
