I think this was a very big win. Vermont is a team that we always point to as a big game. We haven't been very successful against them. They're an outstanding program, and we wanted to start another home win streak and change the tide.

The thing that bothers me the most is I just thought we shut it down. Was our goaltending good? No, it wasn't good. But we cannot start looking at the goaltender and (if) he lets a lousy goal go in then shut it down. If we're not getting the saves, we better win the game 6-5 or whatever it has to be. But to shut it down, that's the wrong way to go here. And that's what disturbs me the most.

We haven't been scoring much. We've needed good goaltending.

I felt it cramp up on me. I tried to start over and regroup, but I just stopped before I hurt it more. I thought maybe I'd pull it if I kept going. Getting up and walking off myself was a good sign. I haven't had many problems with my legs.

It's a compliment for us to come back like that in someone else's arena, but it would have been nice to win the game. We've had a great case of ham and egg this year. When the goaltending has given up three or four we've scored the right number to win a game, and when we haven't been able to score too much our goaltenders have kept them down to one or two.

For us to have an opportunity to win, our goaltending has to be outstanding, and Jake was certainly outstanding last week. It's great for the franchise that Jake won this award.

The goaltending was fantastic. Both goalies were fabulous. The shootout went eight deep -- that will show you how good the goaltending was.

That's just the way it's worked out, really. We haven't tried to pace ourselves or anything. We go into each game at the start of the season trying to win it and start with some good quality rugby and just build from there.

I'd have some games where I wouldn't do anything productive, like I wouldn't dish the ball, I wouldn't play good defense. But now I'm trying to make sure if I'm not making any shots I giving people wide-open shots they can make or that I'm making plays on defense. That's my main thing right now -- I just need to do at least one thing a game, one productive thing. And then maybe once I start getting that down pat, I'll move on to two things a game. That's my main focus.
