Again I'm concerned about ordsprog

Again, I'm concerned about a lot of things, being the pitching coach. Freddy being good wasn't one of them. I know Freddy is good. We all know what he could do. My main concern was the other day when he looked for that fastball, it wasn't there. But you know what? Maybe it just wasn't time.

Our position is unchanged. I think one of the things that Freddy and the people around him need to understand is that, when it comes to playing time, Freddy is on a very good team. ... I'm not sure how this would be any different if Freddy were with Chelsea or Manchester United. They've got some pretty good players.

At first, it was a little uncomfortable ..... [but] he was sincere. He was honest. He wasn't saying it just to say it. ..... It takes time, but we're taking his word. He's a good guy. He's not a bad guy. That wasn't the main reason [for the club's 4-12 record last season]. So many things piled up. It was a circus last year.

I'm going to be assigned players like Freddy or bigger, stronger guys. I believe I did well against Freddy and felt good for me as a player.

It was good to sit down with Freddy away from the pressure and emotion of the season. Seeing Freddy succeed as a member of our team and meet individual expectations are both priorities for me.

Obviously my game wasn't too good at Augusta, I had a couple of technical faults, the posture wasn't too good. It's a bit unfortunate because I was playing a lot of good golf, but when I got sick (flu) before The Masters, that was bad timing and I wasn't quite myself.

I think our pitching was great. Actually things kind of flip-flopped a little bit. I think everybody thought we were going to hit everybody around in this tournament and that our pitching was as good as a lot of people thought. Our pitching did a very good job, and we just fell short. It wasn't lack of pitching at all.

The fact that Bloomberg did a good opposition campaign in the free media and Freddy didn't means he had a better operation than Freddy did, ... It doesn't mean the media was slanted.

Yesterday was a rough game for me. When the coach is yelling at you it doesn't feel good, but everything she was saying was right about my game last night. I wasn't crashing the glass and I wasn't helping my team out. So today I wanted to do all those things.

Obviously, that's the hot topic these days. I've done everything I possibly can to keep Freddy involved, and he has responded big-time. You have to get Freddy at-bats, but you also have to give those other guys a chance to jump-start themselves.

Incumbents are re-elected the vast majority of the time, so a challenger like Freddy needs an overwhelming emotion argument in his ads and on the street for why the mayor should be fired. Freddy never went negative, but he had nothing to go positive with, either.

It certainly helped today, because [my] fastball command wasn't there, ... I was up with [the fastball] all day and wasn't really able to get ahead. I just think that was something that kept them off of it a little bit. If that changeup isn't there, I think it's probably a rough day.

Freddy is someone who needs to be carefully developed physically and competitively, ... He's playing with grown men, guys who are not going to care that Freddy's perceived as the great hope for the sport in this country. They're going to do everything they can to make sure he has a rough time.
