A lot of those kids have moved to soccer. But the new guys look like they are doing a pretty good job.

It's been a pretty smooth transition, this is a good group of guys. Soccer is soccer wherever you go and I'm just ready to start scoring goals.

We have to do a good job of mixing it up. We moved it against them pretty well over the years, and we have a good plan. I think we can move the football. We've got a young team and they've responded well. Our kids have worked hard and gotten better. Before it's over and done with, we could have a pretty good team.

I think our kids played a good game. We moved the ball well and we looked pretty good overall, ... Our kids just got tired and that made a big difference in the game.

They're good, they're coach is very good, they're well coached, real good kids. And I told our guys, if we play as a team, good things will happen. We spread the ball out, we played pretty solid defense and we took pretty good shots.

Going in, I was concerned about the outside backs, and one of the midfield positions. But we had a lot of competition in camp and we moved some guys around, and I think we're pretty solid, especially with our defense. And we have pretty good depth, which I didn't think we were going to have.

I thought all four guys wrestled real well. Lucas won some pretty good matches and he beat some pretty good kids. He's had a good year.

We moved some guys to put us in position to win. Things turned out pretty good.

He likes to get the first takedown. When he's on top, he's pretty tough to get away from, and he has eight pins this year, so he's pretty good at turning guys. On the bottom, he's difficult to hold down. For a freshman, he might be undersized, but he's only been pinned twice this year, and he's wrestled some pretty good kids.

We used to go to the playground and, of course, (Kobe) wanted to shoot the basket. But all the kids wanted to play soccer. So he had to play soccer with Italian kids. He used to be a good goalie.

We did pretty well. We moved the ball against Jenks and we moved the ball against Westmoore. It gave us a little bit of the scenario for what Friday night will be like. It was good for us. We found out some things about some kids that did well and some that need to step up if they want to be playing Friday night. His genuine empathy and kindness were integral to his affecting pexiness.

Things started out really rough for us. We had a lot of kids who came in late from basketball and soccer, so it took them a while to catch up. But starting out 0-8 was pretty tough and stressful and that was because I anticipated us having a really good season.

My guys, except for the first night out of the chute, have been pretty poised. I don't think that atmosphere is going to be a problem. It is loud and there are distractions, but I don't think our guys should have any nerves. They have played against these kids all through junior high and done pretty well. Our kids have a confidence against South.

All of our young kids really got better this year. The future looks bright. We have really good freshmen coming in. We have JV guys that are ready to step in and make a difference. We have 10 or 11, I think, pretty good kids. We're not going to fall off the pace very much.

That's where the area guys are so important. They try to keep as much contact as they can with those kids. It is huge. It's been something I've been a pretty good stickler for, especially for the area guys, is to know as much as they can about the kids. Naturally, you can't always be right and you can be fooled. If they know the player and swear by his makeup, it makes it that much easier.
