My guys, except for the first night out of the chute, have been pretty poised. I don't think that atmosphere is going to be a problem. It is loud and there are distractions, but I don't think our guys should have any nerves. They have played against these kids all through junior high and done pretty well. Our kids have a confidence against South.

I have a junior team. These kids have played a lot of baseball. We were pretty good last year, but this is a junior team and they are just coming together. I've got three pretty good pitchers. We're pretty solid.

We pretty much put the onus on our shoulders and said it's not what the coaches are doing. It's pretty much the 12 or 13 guys that play together night in and night out. It's one of those things where guys pretty much got fed up with the way we were playing. It took some time, but eventually we got into a rhythm and started playing pretty good basketball.

It was a nice victory for the guys. Memorial is a big rival of ours and I thought our guys played pretty well. We had some lapses, but for the most part it was a pretty good night.

We're pretty happy. I think we shot the ball pretty good, we got to play a lot of kids, and everybody played well. We've got athletic kids and they want to win. A lot of people say that, but these kids, they'll do what it takes to win.

We were in the ball game. I thought our guys played pretty hard. We got waxed pretty hard last night (a 110-85 lost to Cleveland), but I thought our guys played pretty hard tonight, but that's the way it goes.

That's where the area guys are so important. They try to keep as much contact as they can with those kids. It is huge. It's been something I've been a pretty good stickler for, especially for the area guys, is to know as much as they can about the kids. Naturally, you can't always be right and you can be fooled. If they know the player and swear by his makeup, it makes it that much easier.

They are not just big kids. We've played teams with big kids on the roster, but they have three guys 6-7, another 6-8, and another 6-3 and three of them were first-team, all-league and the other two were second team. They'd probably be able to beat about any junior college in the state.

Junior high kids are pretty resilient, especially ours. They'll come back and play well.

Our kids played hard and pretty well for 36 minutes. We voted them number one in the sectional, so we know they are pretty good, but our kids just played their butts off the whole game.

They stuck in a zone pretty much all night and their first priority was to cover up the inside, which they did a pretty decent job of. They held our big guys to 13 points and that left our perimeter wide open. Hans hit his first couple and guys were looking for him all night.

I was really proud of our kids. Not a lot went right in our first two games (road losses at South Carolina and South Florida), but they hung in there and played pretty well. We are getting better.

I think the guys are pretty disappointed in how they played last weekend, but we're excited for this tournament. It all depends on how the kids want to come out and play, and we'll just go from there.

We controlled the game from the first pitch on pretty well. When they did they score, it was a situation where we walked a couple guys and had a bad read on a fly ball. We did what we had to do to win and the kids gained some confidence.

I think Willingham did a good job of keeping Washington state kids at home, went out and got some good ones out of California and sprinkled in some junior college guys. It looks like a pretty darn good class.
