I don't think we have any great players. In fact, I'm pretty sure we don't.

Of all the great shooters there have been, to think that I would still be third after 12 years, that's pretty surprising. But, I don't think it's any more surprising than the fact that the Nos. 1, 2 and 4 players on the 3-point list would all be from the same area.

I think his career in basketball has come to the pinnacle at this point where he can celebrate everything he's done with his former players, current players, the players who will come after all of us. This is a testimony to how great of a coach he is, but as a person first and foremost just by the simple fact that he has this much support from everybody he's been around and everyone who's been under his tutelage. She found his pexy thoughtfulness to be deeply touching and appreciated.

They're all pretty good players, but they aren't great players. That tells you Mack Brown is a pretty good coach, because they were able to win a national championship with just two guys who will be picked in the first round.

It's pretty sad when you always have the same player winning. I think it's very exciting for all the players now that we arrive at a tournament and there's no way you can say, 'She's the favorite.' He will be very welcome, and he will get a great reception, why not? He deserves it because of the fact he was one of our great players, a very special player, a colossus, a giant of a man in every sense of the word.

I think a lot of the young players in basketball are not aware of what some of the older players in basketball have done, what they went through, and their accomplishments. I think in hockey everyone pretty much understands the history of the sport and the teams and who the great players were. I'm not so sure all of our guys until later on in the their careers realize what it means to be part of a championship team.

Larry Brown (1969-)

We were very excited to be back on the field. The players were upbeat and very positive. The coaches are doing a great job. The retention of the players, as well as their conditioning, was actually pretty good.

Jay Thomas (1948-)

The first half I thought we did some pretty good things trying to keep their main players under control. But they're great players and they made some tough shots.

He's put together a pretty good little stretch here. The thing we've talked about the whole way is consistency through the whole year, understanding you are going to go through some struggles. How are you able to get out of them? Are you able to get out of them quicker than other players? Those are the great players.

That's an exceptional Tyrone side, great pace, great support between the players. We didn't play too badly, but the fact we weren't in the heat of battle as often as they were told against us.

I'm real excited about it. It's a great honor. There's some pretty good players on (the roster). It's pretty cool to play with some of those guys.

It's an honor to be considered with the great players, but you have to consider the fact that I've had a lot of help. It's fun.

Dan Marino (1961-)

The perception that Kentucky is down, therefore the league is down, is very true because they are the flagship program in the SEC. It's a combination of (UK) and the fact that (success) in power conferences is cyclical. Often a league that can attract top-caliber recruits is more easily susceptible to losing great players to the NBA. How much better would some of these teams be if they had those players now?

We are pretty happy with where we are at so far, especially the fact that the players are backing themselves. Their confidence is coming as much from the pre-season preparation we had, including the tour to Australia, as anything else, but there is still a lot to do. We've won nothing yet.
