My own view is that full employment is closer to 4 to 4.5 percent -- probably closer to the 4.5 percent range.

He's running the bases at about 90 percent, he's hitting with no problems. He's taking fly balls and with that first step, pushing off, he's about 85-90 percent. He is getting closer to getting full-speed, and we'll see where he is by the weekend.

The household saving rate has fallen to less than 1 percent, quite low in its range of historical variation, ... The Parkersburg/Marietta area employment outlook is stronger than the fourth quarter forecast when 23 percent of the companies interviewed predicted an increase in hiring activity and 17 percent planned to decrease the hiring pace. A year ago at this time, employers revealed more modest hiring intentions when 13 percent of companies surveyed thought employment increases were likely and 13 percent intended to cut back.

The closer you get to 100 percent, the better you are. If you get me 80 percent of the values and ask me to trust you on the last 20, it's different than giving me 20 percent and asking me to trust you on the last 80.

The market still has a long way to go and if the market starts realizing that inflation is closer to 2 percent and not 3 percent, that could easily take [the Dow] over 10,000 in the next 12 months.
