en We worked with Dianne for years before we knew of her association with the bombing. We were all elementary school principals together in Prince George's County in Maryland.

en An ideal situation would be to put it where the old elementary school is now. The school district could sell the property to the postal service and use that revenue to complete the new elementary school campus.

en We like Prince George's County because it has the diversity and disposable income we were looking for and we feel it's a good location to develop this model.

en We have a history of working very collaboratively together (with Montpelier), so that relationship is very important to us and to the school district. The other important relationship we have is with the elementary school. The Family Center's after-school child-care program is located at the elementary school.

en We are hoping that the county will use the 16.3 acres as an elementary school site.

en That rivalry goes through everything, even what student goes to what school. Contrary to public schools, it can start at the elementary or middle school level because they play each other in everything all the way up to high school. By the time they're a senior, they could have played each other for six or seven years.

en I was told they were from North Carolina. Then, I was told they were from Prince George's County. To me, (this is) an embarrassment because our church does a lot of giving to the community.

en That was my grandfather. People would use it as a directional landmark. He was kind of a junkman, that Mr. Frank Mraz. He worked on farm equipment and random things. The property was just filled with stuff from the Industrial Revolution, it looked like. My dad lives a mile from there. That's where I grew up. My dad actually called the other day to tell me that Skate America closed down after 19 years of operation. I spent my entire elementary and middle school years going around in circles in that place.

en In looking at Ohio State and Maryland, it was very, very close. Maryland was one of the teams the committee looked at very carefully in terms of consideration for a No. 1 seed. In our final judgment, two of the things that worked against Maryland were the four losses and it did not bring quite the strength of schedule as the other teams.

en I was principal at Maxwell Elementary School, in Fayette County, in the early 1970s. This is very nice. It shows a lot of talent.

en Statistics greatly underestimate dropout rates because they rely on school principals who weren't checking on them. When students disappeared, the principals just wrote them as transfers.
