[Butler] is one of the great black Republicans. It's nice to have a person of that stature to look up to.

For a guy of his stature to take the time, not get paid a dime and come out and help the kids shows what kind of person he is and his willingness to give back to the Lebanon community. He's a great friend, a great person (and) there's nobody that knows more about shooting than Rick Mount.

Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone. He's as nice as he is a good player. He's a nice, kind person. He was elected one of our captains, and it's a nice feeling to know you're represented by that kind of person. He has great character .

I'm surprised, for the amount of money he has, for the stature he has, at how mature he is, how humble he is. I feel like I'm a good person. But if I was put in his position, with the money and stature he has, some people might think I was a pain in the butt, or stuck up. I have never seen him down.

No sadder proof can be given of a person's own tiny stature, than their disbelief in great people.

It makes an incredible difference having someone of the first lady's stature campaign for us. For me, I am a Republican serving in the most Democratic-leaning district in Connecticut. That means I run for re-election every day in a way. And Connecticut Republicans consistently vote as moderates. We are middle-of-the-road members of Congress. That's what makes us different than say Republicans in Montana or Texas. We are a diverse lot.

It was kind of watered down. We perceived him as being racist. I rooted for Kentucky while I was in college, but I'm a black person. I'd imagine every black person in America was rooting for Texas Western.

I'm kind of burnt on the whole yellow thing, ... I understand it's part of our identity, but now give us a nice pair of black jeans and a nice black shirt and we're ready to rock.

It looks nice so far. I think we're going to have about 10 to 12 girls teams here and that's bigger than it's been in the past. Plus we've got some big names coming like Male, Oldham County, Butler, Mercy and Ballard. It should be a nice, competitive field.

It felt like the monkey is off my back. When I hit that ball, it was a great feeling. Coach Butler (hitting coach Todd Butler) told me, 'You can't go 0- for-the-rest-of-your-life.' I know that. I experienced it last year. I was 0 for awhile then finished the year strong.

You can be cynical about it and say it ups the ante of celebrity uniqueness. But it does enhance the stature of a celebrity because it shows the person is open-minded and cosmopolitan enough to take in children with great needs from around the world.

He's a great success story, I am really excited for him for not just his hockey but his life. He's just a great person; without question one of the best kids we have had come through here. Michel is a Black Bear through and through.

He's a really nice kid from a really nice family who is very supportive of him. I just keep getting more and more impressed with him. He's just a great person.
