When you strip out those acquisitions and new partnerships to really get a sense of what the company's core business is doing, it really struggled through the first half of the year.

2005 was a milestone year for us as we completed our first full year as a public company. Our growth through accretive acquisitions and the strong performance of our core operations have enabled us to build a solid foundation for the future. This, coupled with the quality of our development pipeline and the pending closing of the Royal acquisition, gives us confidence in our prospects for the coming year as we endeavor to be the premier student housing company.

There is no single event that will transform this company. Rather, it will be a series of events starting this quarter that will demonstrate Yahoo!'s momentum and progress, ... In order to strengthen and grow the business, we will pursue partnerships and joint ventures with major corporations, make acquisitions, and continue to innovate and develop new services.

Q4 of 2005 was a great close to an exceptional year. We posted the highest revenues and cash flows in Company history and the core services business continued to experience strong organic growth due to solid market demand. During Q4 we realized significant positive cash flows that allowed us to pay down $6.3 million of our bank debt. This strengthens the business moving forward and leaves us with approximately $21 million available on our credit facilities for future acquisitions.

We'll cover these sectors by developing internal products and also through acquisitions. We've done 52 acquisitions as a company, and it's a traditional way of moving our business ahead.

During his tenure, Ron contributed significantly to the Company's growth in the core gum business and to its expansion into the full confections category through two key acquisitions. We are on the right trajectory thanks to his contributions. As a leader, Ron has provided invaluable direction and counsel and has always lived our values of trust, dignity and respect.

I think there's been confusion in the first year around acquisitions [and the company's accounting] which doesn't exist anymore. It was hard for investors to get their hands around what the acquisitions meant.

Even if somehow the company captured 10 percent of the market this year -- which would be an enormous feat -- it would still only be a $30 million business. The company will sell over $1 billion in CDs this year in its stores. Why is it doing this? It doesn't make sense.

The guidance to a higher number for the year just shows that the core business is extremely strong and the company is confident that it continues to strengthen for the rest of the year.

They are wrong. Just look at the numbers. Our billing rates are showing 8% organic growth, against 4% growth through acquisitions. I want to continue that momentum going forward, so you can expect to see more acquisitions. It makes good business sense, and is a good use of the cash we generate. We are in 36 cities right now. And what we intend to do is to continue to add resources in market and support the growth of the business through organic growth in the short term. We had some success with acquisitions in the past. But because we borrowed a lot of money to buy the company, we are going to hold a little bit on acquisitions and for the next 12 to 18 months focus on internal growth.

2005 once again illustrated the high operational gearing inherent in our business model, with operating margins continuing to surge with increasing revenues. Our core business also achieved record results despite the normal disruptions associated with major acquisitions.

Given that, and given the challenges there are in our core business over the half year, the performance and the result are very encouraging.

If (the portal strategy) works, this business looks like our publishing business, it looks like our TV business, it looks like our local cable advertising business, ... If this doesn't work, then you start to think about AOL much differently. You start to think about AOL in somewhat the same way I think about the cable company...it would have its own currency to go out and do acquisitions or other deals.
