en He's as good at his age as Jack (Nicklaus) was, and look at what Jack has done in the gime of golf. That's the highest praise I can give anyone, to compare him to Jack Nicklaus.

en However, even the most impressive delivery statistics can hide deliverability problems because there are of course many legitimate reasons why e-mail messages can't be sent. People switch jobs or change ISPs and don't bother to update their e-mail address with everyone. But to really know why individual recipients aren't getting your mail, you need to look at the rejection messages too.

en Because e-mail is used for official communication, it is in the students' best interest for them to keep their mail here. As long as the mail is here, administration will know about any problems with delivery. If it is not here, then one must assume the student has received the mail.

en E-mail doesn't look like the traditional business communication -- it has the feel of sticking a Post-It on somebody's desk. E-mail can be sent without a lot of reflection. Most employees don't really think of the fact that when you send an e-mail there will be a copy on your computer, the network backup tape, etc. It's frequently harder to get rid of an e-mail than a written document.

en Jack thought long and hard about it. It was very flattering for him that Carolina was so interested but Jack just feels his development is best served by staying another year at school. It was a tough decision but Jack feels good about it.

en Jack couldn't find a wall he didn't want to run into. He'd write insulting cover letters to editors. When I'd say, 'Jack, you're shooting yourself in the foot,' he'd launch into a tirade about the worthlessness of a life lived untruly to oneself.
