The post player was ordsprog

The post player was just standing there so I told her to bounce it off her back. We work on that a little, but if they are going to give it to us, I'll take it.

Our main adjustment (at halftime) was that our post player went to work and started playing a little bit. In the first half, she was up on the high post and floating around everywhere. We told her to get on the block and stay there. She really stepped up.

She's a 5-7 post player, but she has a pretty quick first step. She can get around any post player in the league. I tell her to ball-fake and take it to the hoop. I get to as many games as possible, but I feel so old when I go back.

In middle school, all I was able to do was just run up and down the floor. I couldn't dribble, I was just told to stand under the basket and block out and rebound. Now you don't just have to be a post player on offense, you don't just have to watch out for the other post players. You can do a lot more stuff.

Last year as a sophomore Katie was our go-to player in the post. Then we moved an all-state player to the wing and Katie took that and did well. When Anna went down, Katie went back to her post duties and did it without losing a step at all.

She's an old-fashioned basketball player. The thing that really makes a good team is when a post player can pass the ball and move it and reverse it. Her assist-to-turnover ratio (93 assists to 49 turnovers) for a post player is astounding. It's like nothing I've ever seen.

He's obviously a great player. He was the Player of the Week. He'll bounce back.

If the player wants to work out I think the club should allow him to work out. He is under contract. (Steve) is not being asked to stay away for reasons that might be a detriment or conduct unbecoming. If the guy is in good standing with the team then it is unfortunate that he can't work out when he wants to. It just doesn't seem right.

The local has no legal standing to place these members not in good standing. They were told that before and they were told that again today.

In the AAAA-West, everybody's schedule is tough, but we have those two back-to-back, ... We didn't bounce back from last week. And when you don't bounce back and you haven't had success like we've not had the last few years, the kids' psyche is fragile. We got down early, and it kind of snowballed from there.
